Who Am I
The one who speaks to no one, because I am new and don’t know anyone.
The one with shabby and worn clothes, because it has been rough financial year and I have no extra money for clothes.
The mother with no makeup and a frazzle look, because I have been up with a sick child all night.
The couple with a smile on their face and tears in their eyes, because sometimes it doesn’t seem like they are going to make it.
The teenager with more attitude than you care for, because things at home are more than a teenager should ever go through.
The one who never smiles, because it has been a rough year and all hope it fading.
The elderly that seems grumpy, because I am lonely and have no one to talk to.
Who Am I …. I am not so different than you. I am a child of God. I am leaning on Him but hoping for a little support from other children of God.
I am new wanting someone to speak, to invite me to a class, fellowship and to come back.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
I am one that regardless of how I am dressed you are not judging me based on appearance and welcome me in.
1 John 3:18 Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
I am the mother wanting someone to say it will be okay and ask is there any way we can help out with the kids.
Galatians 6:2 Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
We are the couple hoping for support and prayer for our marriage.
Ephesians 4:29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen
I am the teenager that wants someone to mentor to me and to be loved
Acts 20:35 In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’
I am the one that is needing a helping hand or a shoulder to cry on.
Matthew 25:40 The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
The one wishing someone had a few minutes from their busy schedule to sit and talk.
Philippians 2:3-4 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
Who am I … I am a child of God just as you are. We have all be given special gifts to minister to others in different ways. We should be willing to reach out to others. Step out of our earthly comfort zone and step into the Father’s protection to reach others.
1 Peter 4:10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.

Thank you Lorie for reminding me of the people in the shadows of hurt and loneliness that I don’t notice. God open my eyes to see them and make them feel loved by you !
Awesome devotion.
