(This is difficult to watch)

Isaiah 43:2a  When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;……

The week of July 8th, 2018, the world watched transfixed as the prayers of millions were answered when twelve children and one very young coach were rescued from deep within a flooded cave by a team of over 100 dedicated persons from around the globe UNITED to restore these individuals to their families and their nation. This effort was nothing short of heroic and only God could have calmed the nerves of these young people who could not swim as they were strapped to a backboard, placed in a full face mask, and submerged into the pitch black, cold water, and TRUST their rescuers during the long, treacherous two hour journey.

I put myself in the shoes of the parents (I cannot even fathom the anxiety), the children and coach (whose adventure turned life threatening in a moment), and the rescuers (I scuba dive but I DO NOT do caves) and I can honestly say I have cried tears of gratitude!

Our God, the maker of heaven and earth, like these rescuers, will do WHATEVER it takes to bring you home! ALL you must do is TRUST AND OBEY! Listen to His instructions and regardless of what you feel, REST in His arms. He has come to you time after time. He alone can get you home!

Will you trust Him with your life? If you will, comment YES! Nothing more. Jesus is your way out of darkness into the light. Confess your trust in Him with “Yes,” and He WILL get you to safety, healing, and home. He PROMISED!

To God be the glory for the rescue of the Thai citizens and yours!

Rejoicing with the world!

About Yvonne Jones

I am at heart, a LIFEguard: "big" sister, mama, grandmother, aunt, friend, swimming coach, lifeguard trainer, and registered nurse. I am in the business of alleviating fear through education and lots of hand holding. As a swimming instructor, I have taught people of all ages to overcome fear of the water and I marvel as fear gives way to fearlessness, as panic turns to pure joy, as tears dissolve into giggles of glee, and pennies retrieved from the bottom of the abyss become trophies. As a nurse, I have been privileged to walk up to Heaven's gate as patients and family are welcomed home, witnessed the miracle of birth, helped mend broken hearts, and cared for the elderly as they wait. Scriptures number one admonition is "fear not." Question is HOW??? The Word becomes our swimming instructor and can help us learn to "tread water til Jesus comes." Something my students often thought I was going to make them do! So welcome to my pool! Jump in the cool water. Let it refresh your soul and feel the unseen hands of the Master Lifeguard lift you up and out of the deep water. Who knows, you just might even walk on water!

We would love to hear from you
