No Matter What You Go Through

No Matter What You Go Through

“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the Lord you God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.” Isaiah 43:1-3 (ESV)

I know there are so many people that are hurting today and are experiencing the toughest times of their lives. If you haven’t been here, one day you will. That is just part of life. I read the most simple and valuable truth one day just when I needed to hear it. God doesn’t leave us to do things without his help. He doesn’t leave us to fend for ourselves.

My Sunday School class sometimes studies the video clips from “I Am Second.” I absolutely love digging into these and learning from others experiences and seeing how maybe I can apply them in my life. In one of the films, Shawn Johnson, a former olympic gymnasts, shares how she was told that having a child was not in the cards for her. Then, one day she felt ill and took a pregnancy test and it was positive. After sharing her wonderful news with her husband, the next day, she miscarried. Shawn shares how “no matter what you go through” in life, you will always come out of it. Her husband, Andrew, shared on the film this truth. “Nothing can compare in encouraging you or helping you through a difficult time in your life more than knowing the scripture.” ( I Am Second)

No one is waving their hands frantically in the air or jumping up and down asking for hard times in life. But I know as for me, it has made me stronger in so many ways. I have felt God in the front seat of my most difficult times.

Counting My Blessings,

About Susan Browder

“Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.”  Hebrews 11:1 I grew up in a small town in Alabama called Boligee. I am a wife and a mom to two sons, Nick who is 24 and married to his sweet wife, Mallory, and Jacob who is 18.  My husband, Nicky, is a person of who I am so proud. Our lives changed forever on September 6, 2014 about 7:00 pm. Our son, Jacob, had an accident that would deeper our faith in God and challenge us in ways we never dreamed. My prayer is that our story will encourage others in their struggles with life altering experiences. My writing will be our testimonies but more than that it is about how we have a loving, caring God that carries us through the most difficult times of our lives.

We would love to hear from you
