Where He Met Me
“God met me more than halfway, he freed me from my anxious fears. Look at him; give him your warmest smile. Never hide your feelings from him. When I was desperate, I called out, and God got me out of a tight spot. God’s angel sets up a circle of protection around us while we pray. Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see – how good God is. Blessed are you who run to him.” Psalm 34:4-8 (MSG)
Have you ever told part of your story to someone and felt like it was not that exciting? Or is it just the opposite and not at all dull? If you really take a stronger look at your story, you could possibly see where God met you and and turned your circumstances around. When I take a look at mine, and think of where God took over and turned things around for me, my story is not so dull.
Psalms 34:4-8 says that we should not camouflage our feelings and that God wants to hear from us. God wants to intervene. He wants to grab us out of the “tight spots” we sometimes find ourselves in. So why not share your story during this Christmas season with someone? Tell them how God met you and turned things around for you. It doesn’t matter if your story is exciting or dull. It can always be a blessing to someone.
