GOOD LUCK OR BLESSING

Good Luck or Blessings from God

Jeremiah 29:11 MSG, “I have it all planned out – plans to take care of you, not to abandon you.”

Good Luck

Good luck! How often do we hear someone wish a person good luck? Do we count on good luck on the game, the test or the job interview?  Sometimes it might be bad luck that seems to follow someone. Luck is defined as something brought on by chance, not by one’s own actions.

Four Leaf Clover

For example, as child in the Spring when the air was warm on a sunny day,  I would lie down in the grass and search for a four leaf clover. A four leaf clover is thought to be lucky. The Irish believe that a four leaf clover brings faith, hope, love and luck for the finder.

Directs Our Steps

Jeremiah 10:23 MSG, “O, Lord, I know the way of man is not in himself; it is not in man who direct his own steps.”

Luck is not Biblical. God is sovereign and all things happen by His plan and purpose not by chance.  The Lord God is not distant, passive or unconcerned with the daily events of our lives. He is in control of all things and His will is done. The Lord directs every aspect of our lives.

The Lord Pleases

Psalms 135:6-7 NKJV, “Whatsoever the Lord pleases He does, in heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deep places. He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; He makes lightening for the rain; He brings the wind out of His treasuries.

God works all things as He pleases. If you are seeking favor and blessing, don’t depend on luck. The strongest power to bring things about in the world is God’s power. Trust and depend on Him. God’s plans over rules the plan of men.

About Paula Wallace

A child of God, wife, mother and grandmother of 6 precious children. I love art, nature and treasure my dear friends. Through the valleys and mountaintops, God led me to His saving grace at the age of 32. Since then the valleys and mountaintops have proven His love to me. I am learning to trust Him in all things. My prayer is that you, too, accept Jesus as Lord and Savior and trust Him. The Bible verse that I lean on mostly is Proverbs 3: 5-6 “ Trust in the Lord with all your heart. And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path.”NKJV Paula Wallace

We would love to hear from you
