Psalm 19:14 New Living Translation (NLT)
14 May the words of my mouth
and the meditation of my heart
be pleasing to you,
O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.
This verse has been on my mind for several days now. As I have meditated on it I ask myself, “Do I please my rock and my redeemer? Do the things I say and the things I meditate upon please God?
Meditate on What Pleases God
So, I search the Word of God to see the things He says in His Word brings Him pleasure. I found that without faith it is impossible to please Him. Hebrews 11:6 Then, I must know what kind of faith I need. Recently in our Sunday School class, we studied Live a Praying Life by Jennifer Kennedy Dean. In this week’s lesson, Jennifer writes,”Faith is your God given capacity to receive and act on spiritual knowledge.” I must listen/hear and obey what the Holy Spirit says in other words.
In other words, from 1 John 3:22, “ And we will receive from him whatever we ask because we obey him and do the things that please him.” When we are saved we are given a measure of faith. Romans 12:3.
As we begin to hear (receive) and act (in faith) the things the Holy Spirit, our new inner counselor, teacher and guide shows us, we meditate on them and we use our “God-given capacity to receive and act on spiritual knowledge.”
Think About Bearing Fruit pleasing to him
So in summary, I need to listen and obey. “walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; Colossians 1:10 (ESV)
Our God is an awesome, giving and merciful Creator. He loves that we think about or meditate on His goodness to us, His children.
Meditate on our Rock and Redeemer
So my prayer remains,
14 May the words of my mouth
and the meditation of my heart
be pleasing to you,
O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.
Please meditate on the words of this song. It will be worth 5 minutes of praise and worship to Jesus. Thanks to Casting Crowns.

Thank you Father,
I am not worthy of all you did for me. I am fully saved, eternally blessed. Now I strive to be all you made me to be. I am not perfect, I fail you many times a day but my heart deeply yearns to be more like you.
Your servant,
Freda
