In Remembrance

Remember and Honor

Memorial Day

Ronald Reagan gave a speech at Arlington National Cemetery in 1987. His speech basically revived the observance of Memorial Day. In his speech, he said, “Today is the day we put aside to remember fallen heroes and to pray that no heroes will ever have to die for us again. It’s a day of thanks for the valor of others, a day to remember the splendor of America and those of her children who rest in this cemetery and others. It’s a day to be with the family and remember.”

Life of Freedom

Remember, indeed we should. Not only have many men and women given their life so that we may experience the life of freedom, the families they left behind have suffered greatly over the loss of their loved one. We owe each one a great debt of gratitude.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” ‭‭John‬ ‭15:13, ASV

Jesus Christ Laid Down His Life

Speaking of freedom, we have so much to be thankful for as Christians. Our best Friend, the One who loves us more than life, the Man that laid down His life for you and me, made freedom possible for those who accept Him as Lord and Savior. Jesus Christ laid down His life for us.

Romans 8:2b, HCSB, “Christ Jesus has set you free”

Need to Remember

Today we need to remember all those who sacrificed their life for us. They gave their lives for our freedom here on earth. Even more importantly, we need to remember the One who gave His life that we might have eternal life.

Remember and be thankful!

About Paula Wallace

A child of God, wife, mother and grandmother of 6 precious children. I love art, nature and treasure my dear friends. Through the valleys and mountaintops, God led me to His saving grace at the age of 32. Since then the valleys and mountaintops have proven His love to me. I am learning to trust Him in all things. My prayer is that you, too, accept Jesus as Lord and Savior and trust Him. The Bible verse that I lean on mostly is Proverbs 3: 5-6 “ Trust in the Lord with all your heart. And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path.”NKJV Paula Wallace
