Be A Problem Solver

Be a Problem Solver“Problem Solver”

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” Romans 12:2 (NLT)

“Get Out of Your Head”

My bible studies class just started Jennie Allen’s book, “ Get Out of Your Head.” It is a book about the power God gives us over our thoughts. In session 1, Jennie dives into how shifting our mind and how we think, changes how we live. As we get out of our own head and give God the power over our thoughts, our perspective changes which changes how we live. (Jennie Allen)

My Story

You all know my story by now. In one of the most heartbreaking times of my life, I got to learn exactly what Jennie taught in session 1, spiralling. I had so many thoughts whirling around in my head as we were praying my son would wake up and recover. Doctors were giving me their diagnoses, people giving me their thoughts and looks making me feel like the worst mom in the world, people crying, people praying, my fears, witnessing my families fears, and so many others. I spiraled and my fear and thoughts took over. All my heart knew to do was pray. Not knowing this at the time, but later looking back, as I prayed, God quieted my mind. He blocked it all out and I was able to shift my thinking which revived my mind.

Battling

So many of my problems have been solved by getting out of my own head and praying for the Lord to quiet my mind. Do you want many of your problems solved? Gosh I think we all do. What I have learned through my story is I have to think differently. I can’t do it all. I can’t even come remotely close. Jennie mentions in her book, we go to war with some many things on a daily basis. It is important for us not to allow the enemy to get into our head. (Jennie Allen)

Do you want the Lord to be your problem solver? Do you want to “Get Out of Your Head?” Let God transform you into the person He made you to be. He can  give you the power to change how you think if you let Him. Let Him touch your heart and renew your mind.

Counting My Blessings,

About Susan Browder

“Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.”  Hebrews 11:1 I grew up in a small town in Alabama called Boligee. I am a wife and a mom to two sons, Nick who is 24 and married to his sweet wife, Mallory, and Jacob who is 18.  My husband, Nicky, is a person of who I am so proud. Our lives changed forever on September 6, 2014 about 7:00 pm. Our son, Jacob, had an accident that would deeper our faith in God and challenge us in ways we never dreamed. My prayer is that our story will encourage others in their struggles with life altering experiences. My writing will be our testimonies but more than that it is about how we have a loving, caring God that carries us through the most difficult times of our lives.

Thank you for this message. Sometimes “fear or hurtful thoughts “ spin in my head. Prayer and praise music does help! May God bless and keep you, teachers, and student healthy and at peace! 🙏💜
