Years ago Glenna Drinkard led a preschool choir at our church. Our children were preschool age and she had a precious list of songs that they sang. She recruited me to help her. One of the songs the kids sang was ‘It’s Bubbling’. The words go like this:
Bubbling, Bubbling
“It’s bubbling, it’s bubbling, it’s bubbling in my soul,
It’s singing and laughing since Jesus made me whole,
Folks don’t understand it
Nor can I keep it quiet,
It’s bubbling, bubbling, bubbling, bubbling, bubbling day and night.”
“They shall utter the memory of Your great goodness, And shall sing of Your righteousness.” Psalms 145:7 NKJV https://www.bible.com/114/psa.145.7.nkjv
Flow Like a Fountain
Last week I touched on the word utter in Psalm 145:6. The meaning of this word is ‘to spring forward’ or to ‘bubble up’. The idea is to flow out like a fountain. As a Christian, we should be so full of the goodness of God that we can’t help but bubble forth the good news.
“My lips shall utter praise, For You teach me Your statutes.” Psalms 119:171 NKJV https://www.bible.com/114/psa.119.171.nkjv
Burst Forth with His Goodness
Utter is used again in this verse. It is so easy for us to speak of discontent in our lives or complain about things. God tells us in His word to think on things that are good. We should fill our hearts with the things of God and burst forth with His goodness in our thoughts and conversations.
Overflow With His Goodness
Praise God for He is good. Life may be a challenge right now, but we must fill our thoughts with His goodness. Allow the fountain of your heart overflow with gratitude.
Please tell your reader’s about Kirk Cameron’s American Campfire Revival on U Tube and facebook. It is a 100 day program and each day is about 15 minutes of prayer and Bible Study.
I will try to get it posted this weekend. Thanks for the heads up. Let’s have lunch when this craziness is over.
