Our Father God does amazing wonders we see everyday. We stand amazed that He created the world in seven days. We wonder why He would send His only Son to be the sacrifice for ALL of mankind’s sin! The beautiful landscapes He placed here to reveal Himself to us brings such pleasure to view.

 

 

 

 

He Rejoices over me with joyful singing

But there is one thing that leaves me almost breathless; He will rejoice over me with joyful singing.

“The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17 KJV

Three times in this passage the word joy or rejoicing is used! When a word is used twice in a verse we should pay attention but three times is a wake up call!

He is in our midst, Our Father will never leave us or forsake us! He is faithful even when we are not! He is God the ALMIGHTY creator of all things, powerful to control nations, Satan and his demons, and nature. Yet He is gentle enough to take us in His arms like a mother rocking her newborn in amazement, love and joy and sing over us. We can rest in his love!

Has there ever been a time that you are aware of God’s presence and you begin swaying, rocking back and forth? I can’t give scripture for it but I see it all the time.

Worship sway

In worship, when God’s presence in so strong the people begin to sway side to side. Rocking is one of my most comforting motions. Our mothers have rocked us as babies. We love rocking on a front porch! God loves to see His children comforted by His presence. He rejoices over you and me with JOY! He rest in His love and he will joy over you with singing. (Notice in the video below the people are swaying to the music.)

Comfort in Music

Music brings emotions in us. It comforts, it soothes, it excites and certain music will slow or raise heart rates. Music is used for therapy. There is a signal in us that God uses to cause us to awaken when we hear music. Hopefully we use it to awaken God’s call and not Satan’s. Remembering that Satan was the music director in heaven before he was cast down! That’s a message for another time.

Our Father God loves all of His creations. He desires to have a relationship with us. He reveals Himself to us all the time. He longs to speak to us through His Word, through others encouragement and through music.

Ask Him to reveal Himself to you. He will rejoice over you with His love and sing over you with joy!
