“Dream Tall”
My Wish For You by Rascal Flatts
“Commit your actions to the LORD, and your plans will succeed. Proverbs 16:3 (NLT)
Unreasonable Thinking
I will never forget the day Jacob and I heard the word unreasonable. We were about a year into his injury and Jacob used this word and turned it around to motivate him. He said, “Well this is exactly the way I am going to start thinking when it comes to accomplishing my goals. I am going to start thinking unreasonably to get where I want to be.” (Jacob Browder)
God has done countless things for my family and one thing He wants us all to do is dream tall. This is exactly what He has motivated and inspired Jacob to do and it has worked in his favor. What followed after thinking unreasonably was a trust in the Lord that was so big. Jacob kept God involved in everything he was going through. He succeeded at so many things because God was in them all and kept moving Jacob forward.
“My Wishes”
So many doors have closed in Jacob’s face over the years. This has allowed so many more to open. If he had stayed on his path, he would not have time to tell his story and write a book. I have had three wishes through this healing process for Jacob. The first is for him to be able to live his life and do all that he wants to do. The second is to impact and inspire others who go through an experience they didn’t see coming. The third is to never stop dreaming tall and letting God be a part of it all. Well, I can definitely say I have received these wishes in full!
“All That You Want”
What has God stirred and inspired you to go after? Don’t sell yourself short, and think as tall as you want. Doing this has pushed Jacob to where he is today. Don’t just dream about your dreams, but make them all that you want them to be. I am so grateful the Holy Spirit pulls and tugs at us and helps us pursue and accomplish all that we want to. So, dream tall for your future! You can read more about this chapter in Jacob’s life in a few weeks if you buy and read our book, “The Bull Didn’t Win.”
Counting My Blessings,
