Thoughts from Ladies’ Sunday School Class (Think on this!)
Each week in our Ladies’ class, we have comments that usually stay with us all week. Think about these things this week with us. Thank you ladies for helping me stay in God’s Word. Have you Philippians 4:8 your thoughts today?
8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is [a]lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
Having trouble with your thoughts?
Depressed about all that’s happening around you?
God’s Word has a solution for everything we will face in this world!
Seek His Truth! Not the Daily News!
What happens in the world around us creates fear.
False Evidence Appearing Real
Does that bring back memories from past days? You and I have been told that many times.
God’s Remedy
God’s remedy? 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 “The world is unprincipled. It’s dog-eat-dog out there! The world doesn’t fight fair. But we don’t live or fight our battles that way—never have and never will. The tools of our trade aren’t for marketing or manipulation, but they are for demolishing that entire massively corrupt culture. We use our powerful God tools for smashing warped philosophies, tearing down barriers erected against the truth of God, fitting every loose thought and emotion, and impulse into the structure of life shaped by Christ. Our tools are ready at hand to clear the ground of every obstruction and build lives of obedience into maturity. (The Message)
Actions
Clear out the warped, fearful, manipulation of the worldly culture but be sure to refill those thoughts with whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, and if anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
Father help us to keep our minds filled with your words, your precepts, your instructions to survive these days. May we encourage one another and build up our faith in you while leaving the troubles of this world in your hands. Thank you for your mercy and grace. We will praise you all day long.
Amen
