Hurry Up Friday
Do you ever want to skip all the days of the week and go right straight to Friday? We can all agree, there is nothing quite like a Friday. Do you ever catch yourself counting down the days until Friday?! I know sometimes I sure do. There have been countless Mondays where I have been sleeping like a rock and my alarm clock shocks the heck out of me. The dread sets in of having to get up and face my day, wishing it were still the weekend.
Don’t Miss It in the Hustle and Bustle
January is a time for setting goals. There are so many things that need to be on my list of goals for this new year. Things that pertain to health, time management, waiting before reacting to situations, more time spent in my bible, and so many other things. One of the most important goals I have for 2022, is to live a life full of purpose and to make my days count.
The daily rush
What do your Monday to Friday look like? I know for me, I feel like it’s a daily rush to get it all in. Some days, I find myself going to God, with my heart in pieces. Most days, I find myself missing the “living my best life and loving every minute of it” kind of day. I need to remind myself to make my days count and I want to be able to look back on my day and love the way I lived it. I also want to be proud of the impact I left with others and be encouraged by how I spent my time.
God of All My Days
This week, I heard the song, “God of All My Days,” by Casting Crowns and it hit me. That’s who He is. He is the God of all my days AND He is the God of all your days! Many things we do each day, and many of the things we encounter, are not going to go exactly how we want them to. We need to remember, even though this is going to happen, it’s going to be fine. Just take that moment to be still and think back to WHO is the God of all your days.
The Precious Gift of Time
So I encourage you next week not to wake up on Monday wishing for a Friday. Start your day in prayer for the week and be encouraged to make the most of your time. Time is one of the most precious gifts we have.
Psalm 90:12 says, “So teach us to number our days so that we may get a heart of wisdom.”
So as I leave you with a “Happy Friday,” I hope you will end your Friday with a celebration of how you spent your time and be encouraged at the difference you made all week because you filled it with purposeful moments.
Counting My Blessings,
Susan Browder
