From the front porch and beyond:
It’s dark on the front porch and beyond as I ponder:
Matthew 22:39 KJV “And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.”
How do I love myself?
*If I am not loving myself, accepting God’s love for me, how can I possibly love my neighbor?
*If I am looking in the mirror each day and not accepting God’s love, mercy, and grace for me, how can I love others?
*If I am not accepting God’s hope, how can I share it?
*If I am not seeing the miracle in the mirror, how can I see the miracles next door?
*If all I am hearing in my head is anger and disappointment at myself, how can I love someone else who has s struggling?
I must believe and accept the truth that God loves me!
God wants to spend time with me. I am beautifully and wonderfully made by my Heavenly Father’s loving hands. I can walk in confidence that He has forgiven me, so I can forgive myself and others. He loves me, so I can love others as myself. Make someone else feel loved today by recognizing and receiving God’s truth: He loves you just as you are. Right in the middle of your mess; so you can in turn love others. You do not have to change, He will take care of that.
“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.” Psalm 139:13-14
“I ask that you’ll have the power to grasp love’s width and length, height and depth, together with all believers I ask that you’ll know the love of Christ that is beyond knowledge so that you will be filled entirely with the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:18-19
