Exercise, faith, trust

From the front porch and beyond:

I have a problem with exercise.

Especially, exercising my faith on my behalf.

exercise faith

I will storm the gates of Heaven for my family, children, friends and even those I don’t know, but when it comes to my concern or perceived needs I fail to spread them before the Father.

How is it that I total trust him with my family and friends, but hold back for myself; thinking, I am unworthy of His precious gift?

I fail to trust my Father’s word and honestly tell him what I think I need, trust him to provide or remove the desire for the need.

I fail to see I am His own.

I trust him with others and God, please forgive me, I have failed to trust him with me. Convicted!

This is a huge battle for me.

It speaks to my trust in the Father, my belief when my Father says I am worthy. Father help my unbelief! Open my eyes to the truth I am your own.

First, I must truly understand what exercise and faith mean.

Exercise-use or apply (a faculty, right, or process).

In Greek-άσκηση

exercise, practice, drill

In Hebrew-תַרגִיל

exercise, drill, training, practice,

Faith (/fāTH/)

Noun

English and Hebrew-complete trust or confidence in someone or something.

FAITH (Greek)means- belief, firm persuasion, assurance, firm conviction, and faithfulness.

Sit and Talk

I have started daily to sit and talk with God about my thoughts about what the day will hold and ask him what he has planned for me. Asked him to organize the important and remove the unimportant.- This is separate from my prayers for others, just God and me working on the need to trust HIM to provide and change me.

Giving detail to my needs and even wants.

Example exercise:

Lord, today is the grass-cutting day, it’s terribly hot. Could you bring a breeze and shade the sun according to your will and way?

He answered- in the heat of the day my God provide a breeze and a cloud for me!

Thank you, Heavenly Father!

I know that this will not always happen, but today God is teaching me more about who He is. Teaching me that He listens and hears, to trust him, to know I am His own.

I am finding I can trust him even with what seems so insignificant, my loving Father heard me. I must exercise, drill, train to let go, to walk in faith in the little things, so that when the big things come; I am persuaded to give it all to him.

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your conviction.

Thank you for opening my heart to hear, so I can draw nearer.

Help my unbelief! Teach me to trust you more.

Lord, forgive me for my unbelief!

Forgive me for not trusting your word and truth.

Help me be faithful in my exercise!

In Jesus Christ who loves me Holy name.

Amen

Scriptures

Matthew 7:7-11 ESV

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!

2 Kings 19:14 KJV

And Hezekiah received the letter of the hand of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went up into the house of the LORD, and spread it before the LORD.
