From the front porch and beyond:
It’s Christmas!
Jesus is born.
My thoughts!
My mind wonders about the week before and God’s thoughts.
How could you?
How was that possible?
You knew, yet you did it anyway!

My imagination
My imagination sees God in Heaven. The beauty, peace, and glory; smiles and laughter.
His thoughts turn to earth and He sees and feels, clearly what has to be done.
The process of birth, becoming totally vulnerable.
His Plan Plays Out
It all plays out in His mind.
The stable, the smells, His mother’s weariness, and pain.
His earthy Father’s worry.
Going to temple.
The wedding and the wine.
He Knew The Plan All Along
He knew the exact words that would be exchanged between Him and His mother.
He looked at Peter and Judas every day knowing their hearts and futures.
He knew the depth of the unbelief.
He knew how hungry He would be during the 40 days and that satan would be there.
The woman at the well, the role she would play in His story.
He Felt All The Pain
He felt the agony of the garden of Gethsemane.
He felt the beatings, the crown of thorns.
The nails in his hand and feet.
The lift of the cross and dropping it into the hold where it would stand.
He saw and felt the sword and He knew what the 3 days would hold.
Nothing Was Hidden
You knew every step, nothing was hidden from you.
Yet, You came.
You lived every moment with no surprise.
You loved me that much.
He loves you that much.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Heavenly Father,
There is no way to comprehend this.
I write of things too wonderful and horrible to understand and know.
How great are your mercy and grace!
I can not comprehend the magnitude of your love.
Open my heart so that I might hear more clearly of your love, mercy, and grace.
Let me be humbled before you, seeing a glimpse of your holiness.
Thank you for loving me more than I can possibly comprehend.
How great are you, Father!
How wonderful is the Son of God, Jesus!
Amen
