Always Keep Smiling

Always Keep Smiling

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:  a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance. “
Ecclesiastes 3:1, 3:4 (NIV)

Do you believe God laughs and smiles at you? I am certain that on most days He must be in the bent over position howling at me. I am pretty sure He also laughs with me a good bit too, especially when I make important plans and decisions when I failed to include Him. I think He must smile at us too because the Bible says that the Lord is “pleased” and says that things bring Him Joy.

“For God is pleased with you when you do what you know is right and patiently endure unfair treatment.” 1 Peter 2:19 (NLT)

I love my two son’s, Nick and Jacob, so much. They make me smile and bring such joy to my life daily. One thing I have taught them, which is something my mom taught me, is to smile and have a great day no matter what. You can always find something that will bring a broad smile to your face. I am so proud they have learned to smile and find the joy when they are struggling. I believe this is definitely one of the greatest gifts we can pass on to the people we love.

There are many things we all are confronted with or have to accept that could easily wipe our smiles away. It is so important to remember this is just a “season” and we all will experience them. We also do not have to look very far to smile about something God has blessed us with.

“And work with a smile on your face, always keeping in mind that no matter who happens to be giving the orders, you’re really serving God.” Ephesians 6:7

About Susan Browder

“Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.”  Hebrews 11:1 I grew up in a small town in Alabama called Boligee. I am a wife and a mom to two sons, Nick who is 24 and married to his sweet wife, Mallory, and Jacob who is 18.  My husband, Nicky, is a person of who I am so proud. Our lives changed forever on September 6, 2014 about 7:00 pm. Our son, Jacob, had an accident that would deeper our faith in God and challenge us in ways we never dreamed. My prayer is that our story will encourage others in their struggles with life altering experiences. My writing will be our testimonies but more than that it is about how we have a loving, caring God that carries us through the most difficult times of our lives.
