Thankful For Faith Everyday

Learning to have faith in my circumstances was something that for whatever reason came very easily for me a few years ago. God let me go to a place I didn’t want to go.  Faced with a situation that you have no control over, will give you two options. You can choose faith and hope or you can choose fear.

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13 (NLT)

My pastor, Brother Scott Stevens, always says a phrase that I cling to. “When God takes you to a place, He brings you out of it.”  It is very easy to lose faith and to question during trials. When my faith starts to dwindle, I do a great deal of talking to God. It is one of the most peaceful feelings that I have ever experienced.

It was difficult to understand in the beginning and middle of the place I didn’t want to be in, but as he brought me out of it, I learned I was put there because of the things I needed to see. I am truly so thankful for faith. It has surely grown me!

“But when you ask him, be sure your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind.” James 1:6 (NIV)
