When I am Frustrated with Jesus

“When I Am Frustrated with Jesus”

“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.”Galatians 6:9 NLT

Jesus is My Resting Place

So as I am sitting in my rocking chair reading Matthew chapter 26, I find myself thinking about Judas. As I am putting together my lesson for my bible studies group, I stumble across a video study on Judas called “Easter,” by J. D. Greear. I was instantly drawn in as I heard the words, “Jesus is my place.” J. D. had a discussion about the kind of person we picture Judas as and who Judas really is. We might have a picture of Judas as a sly and scheming character. Then I heard J. D. says something that made me say, “Ouch.” He said, “What’s unnerving is how similar Judas is to us?” He reminds us all to find ourselves in Matthew 26 as we all read it. (J.D. Greear)

“Just Like Judas”

I, myself, have been super frustrated with Jesus, at times. I remember trying to live out Galatians 6:9 and to keep pressing on, working and praying because at the right time, I would receive my blessing. The problem is my right time and Jesus’ right time are not on the same time table. Many times, I find myself misunderstanding Jesus just like Judas misunderstood him. Have you ever been here? Have you found yourself misunderstanding Jesus and his plans?

“And That Is What Changes Everything”

I am so thankful for the cross, Jesus dying for my sins,  and for forgiveness. When I become frustrated with Jesus, my thinking gets rerouted and I am quickly reminded not to give up. I focus on seeing my situations through, becoming stronger through the struggles and that is what changes everything. Focus on the words in the song by Kristian Standfill, “Oh praise the One who paid my debt and raised this life up from the dead.”

Counting My Blessings,
