Welcome Karly,
Karly is one of our youth.
What happens when we walk the wrong path?
This so often happens, even to the best of us. We often are on the right and goodly path. The one that is paved and a straight line. Though some of us wax and wane like the moon. We don’t go through these inconsistencies on purpose it just is a second nature. What I mean by this is we so often are caught up in the needs of things and the worldly desires of ourselves. For example, we so often forget to read the Bible or say a prayer. We often take what I’m going to call the “Twisty Path.” First, we forget to read our Bible and it keeps happening. We at this point come to a cross road, where there is a straight line or we can turn. We so often accidentally take this turn. This is because it just becomes easier not to pray or not to read. This takes us deeper to the twisty path, where it’s thorny and hard to navigate. The dark of the day is present making the sky very thick and the path is bumpy and twisty. One that is like our lives. The world becomes dark when we do not see the Light, Jesus. Life becomes what is just a repetitive routine that makes us personally feel as though we are missing something.
I personally am talking to myself, because we so often get this way. As we head into the New Year, let’s think about this resolution. “I’m going to take the right path.” It sounds like an insignificant and minuscule feat, but it will be harder than you know. Though, you are stronger than you believe. You can accomplish anything when you set your mind to it. So, as we near the end of this year, let’s turn around and together reach for the stars and bring back the light.
James 2:17: Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
2 Peter 3:18: But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen.
Have a blessed holiday and a happy new year,
Karly Mims
