About Paula Wallace

A child of God, wife, mother and grandmother of 6 precious children. I love art, nature and treasure my dear friends. Through the valleys and mountaintops, God led me to His saving grace at the age of 32. Since then the valleys and mountaintops have proven His love to me. I am learning to trust Him in all things. My prayer is that you, too, accept Jesus as Lord and Savior and trust Him. The Bible verse that I lean on mostly is Proverbs 3: 5-6 “ Trust in the Lord with all your heart. And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path.”NKJV Paula Wallace

Cleanse Your Face

Forgiven by Crowder

Cleanse Your Face

Emma Grant, my grandmother, lived to be 99 years old. She was a Southern lady that exemplified a Christian wife, mother, and grandmother. She taught me how to cook, sew and appreciate flowers and digging in the dirt. The church was a priority in her life and she prayed for all of her family. I cherish all the time spent with her as I grew up.

Cleanse your face

“Mammy” as we called her, had a beautiful complexion and very youthful-looking skin. People would compliment her often on how young-looking she was. When we were alone, she would tell me her secret. She advised, “The way to keep your skin looking young and have fewer wrinkles is to cleanse your face every night.” She would diligently wash off the flour from cooking, the sweat from her daily activities, and the dust from her yard work. When it was time to rest for the night, she was cleansed of all impurities on her skin.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. I John 1:9 NKJV https://bible.com/bible/114/1jn.1.9.NKJV

Cleanse Your Heart

Cleansing our face is a great way to keep our skin fresh. Cleansing our hearts of unrighteousness is the way to keep our relationship with God fresh and vibrant. The Bible says we all sin and none of us is perfect. We gather ‘flour, sweat, and dust’ into our minds and heart during our daily activities. Sin. Before we lay down to rest at night, we should not only cleanse our face but seek God’s forgiveness and be cleansed of our sin.

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands(insert face), you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. James 4:8 NKJV https://bible.com/bible/114/jas.4.8.NKJV

“Now I lay me down to sleep,

I pray the Lord my soul to keep.

If I should die before I wake,

I pray the Lord, my soul to take.

As a child, I remember praying this prayer. God forgives us our sins when we confess them to Him. If death comes before morning and we appear before Jesus Christ, we can face Him clean and righteous from the sins we committed that day.

Nightly Routine:

Cleanse my face.

Ask God to cleanse my life of the sins of the day.

Thank God for His forgiveness and love.
