About Paula Wallace

A child of God, wife, mother and grandmother of 6 precious children. I love art, nature and treasure my dear friends. Through the valleys and mountaintops, God led me to His saving grace at the age of 32. Since then the valleys and mountaintops have proven His love to me. I am learning to trust Him in all things. My prayer is that you, too, accept Jesus as Lord and Savior and trust Him. The Bible verse that I lean on mostly is Proverbs 3: 5-6 “ Trust in the Lord with all your heart. And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path.”NKJV Paula Wallace

Read the Label

Read the label

Several months ago I was in Costco. On my shopping list was napkins. Generally, for me, spending time searching for things is frustrating. I saw a package labeled napkins and placed them in my buggy. When I opened the package of napkins, they were napkins—-5000 cocktail napkins. Not very good ones at that. For the longest time I tried to figure out what to do with 5000 cocktail napkins. I decided to just use them. Joe and I have been using handfuls of cocktails napkins. I think they are multiplying! As we use them, I remind myself to – read the label.

The napkins haven’t worked very well as a reminder. Recently, I bought some Christmas lights on sale. The lights looked clear and I thought they were clear white lights. When I plugged them in, they were a mixture of red, green, white and blue! I was thinking to myself, Read The Label!

Read the Word of God

How many times in life have I made decisions taking the wrong turn only to remember I should have Read The Label, the Word of God! To avoid stumbling or making a mess of life, the word of God provides the following:

“Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119:105‬ ‭NKJV‬‬  https://www.bible.com/114/psa.119.105.nkjv

  1. Guidance – study the word daily and He will guide you through the steps of life. He helps you to see the obstacles in your path and, hopefully, avoid stumbling. He will guide you one step at a time.

“How sweet are Your words to my taste, Sweeter than honey to my mouth!” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119:103‬ ‭NKJV‬‬  https://www.bible.com/114/psa.119.103.nkjv

  1. Spiritual Sustenance – the word of God is so sweet. To read how much Jesus loves you and will never forsake you is the ultimate in sweetness. We all need spiritual sustenance to keep going forward.

“Through Your precepts I get understanding; Therefore I hate every false way.” ‭Psalms‬ ‭119:104‬ ‭NKJV‬‬  https://www.bible.com/114/psa.119.104.nkjv

  1. Wisdom – you will need wisdom when you face difficult and stressful situations and decisions. God’s word provides understanding.

“Your testimonies I have taken as a heritage forever, For they are the rejoicing of my heart.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119:111‬ ‭NKJV‬‬  https://www.bible.com/114/psa.119.111.nkjv

  1. Encouragement – life is not easy. As a matter of fact, sometimes life is very hard. You need encouragement from the word of God to keep going. God’s word brings us joy.

God is faithful and will help you. You just need to Read the Label – the word of God.
