About Susan Browder

“Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.”  Hebrews 11:1 I grew up in a small town in Alabama called Boligee. I am a wife and a mom to two sons, Nick who is 24 and married to his sweet wife, Mallory, and Jacob who is 18.  My husband, Nicky, is a person of who I am so proud. Our lives changed forever on September 6, 2014 about 7:00 pm. Our son, Jacob, had an accident that would deeper our faith in God and challenge us in ways we never dreamed. My prayer is that our story will encourage others in their struggles with life altering experiences. My writing will be our testimonies but more than that it is about how we have a loving, caring God that carries us through the most difficult times of our lives.

“To Be Used by You”

“But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.” Psalm 56:3 “ (NLT)

I have heard a particular question so much over the last few years. How much more can one person take? This is the question we ask ourselves when one person or family continues to suffer over and over.

Why?

I think we all ask this question sometimes. I wonder and think about what others have walked through. Why do some people kick cancer and are healed only to have it rear its ugly head again? Why do some people lose the ones they love too soon? Why do multiple tough times happen repeatedly to some of us?

The Greatest Testimony

I think people who experience the toughest of times, have the greatest testimony if they trust the Lord through it. I love the song by Jeremy Camp, “My Desire.” The words are so powerful! This chorus really speaks to me:

“This is my desire
This is my return
This is my desire to be used by you.”

Our Places

Can you really say something any better than that? During our lifetime, we are all going to travel to planned and unplanned places. When God takes us to our unplanned places, we can always count on him being near to us.

So next time you are afraid of the path you are on, trust in God’s timing. Wait patiently and expect for Him to use you. Someone is always going to benefit from your pain when you trust God with your situation and turn all control over to Him. You never know who could be the one watching your experience and how you handle it. You could change their life.

Counting My Blessings,

My Desire by Jeremy Camp
