About Susan Browder

“Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.”  Hebrews 11:1 I grew up in a small town in Alabama called Boligee. I am a wife and a mom to two sons, Nick who is 24 and married to his sweet wife, Mallory, and Jacob who is 18.  My husband, Nicky, is a person of who I am so proud. Our lives changed forever on September 6, 2014 about 7:00 pm. Our son, Jacob, had an accident that would deeper our faith in God and challenge us in ways we never dreamed. My prayer is that our story will encourage others in their struggles with life altering experiences. My writing will be our testimonies but more than that it is about how we have a loving, caring God that carries us through the most difficult times of our lives.

With You

Never Alone

Remember what He told You?

“As they talked and discussed these things, Jesus himself suddenly came and began walking with them. But God kept them from recognizing him.” Luke 24:15-16 (NLT)

I share this verse with my bible studies group via the internet Sunday. It just reminded me to remember, especially right now, Jesus is showing up for us everyday. He is walking alongside us as we face something we have never seen.

Lifted Up

My devotion this morning really hit the target dead center. In Luke 24, Jesus walked right beside some dispirited travelers and he took the time to talk with them. He remained with them for a while and lifted them up, brightening their day.

As I read these verses, I thought to myself, how many times has this kind of thing happened to me? How many times has someone else been prompted to step in, lift me up, and talk with me? That’s Jesus all day long.

Counting My Blessings,

Susan Browder
