About Susan Browder

“Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.”  Hebrews 11:1 I grew up in a small town in Alabama called Boligee. I am a wife and a mom to two sons, Nick who is 24 and married to his sweet wife, Mallory, and Jacob who is 18.  My husband, Nicky, is a person of who I am so proud. Our lives changed forever on September 6, 2014 about 7:00 pm. Our son, Jacob, had an accident that would deeper our faith in God and challenge us in ways we never dreamed. My prayer is that our story will encourage others in their struggles with life altering experiences. My writing will be our testimonies but more than that it is about how we have a loving, caring God that carries us through the most difficult times of our lives.

I Know You Are For Me

“What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?” Romans 8:31 (NLT)

Not Feeling It Today

I’ve had a sour taste in my mouth the last few days. In certain areas of my life, I just feel like I am on a roller coaster. Just when I get going and claw my way to the top, I quickly get brought back down again and the cycle continues. As I was pouting in church, not singing and not feeling it at all, I heard Erin singing a song I felt was meant for me. As Erin sang, “I Know That You Are For Me,” by Kari Jobe, I couldn’t stop the tears. I just closed my eyes, cried, and felt God move.

Our Biggest Fan

How quickly I was reminded Who was for ME! You have heard me say before, the Lord is our biggest fan. We are all so blinded by all that we are going through and sometimes we just need to be reminded. I listened today just exactly what Kari Jobe’s song says, “So faithful, so constant,  so loving and so true, so powerful in all YOU do. This tune has been in my head and heart all day long reminding me God is for me.

Remember

So this week, when you feel weak, remember who your strength comes from. When you feel let down, remember Who is faithful. When you feel alone and are on the roller coaster, remember Who is for you. Stay in prayer and believe as if you have already received whatever you are praying for.

“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Mark 11:24 (ESV)
