About Susan Browder

“Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.”  Hebrews 11:1 I grew up in a small town in Alabama called Boligee. I am a wife and a mom to two sons, Nick who is 24 and married to his sweet wife, Mallory, and Jacob who is 18.  My husband, Nicky, is a person of who I am so proud. Our lives changed forever on September 6, 2014 about 7:00 pm. Our son, Jacob, had an accident that would deeper our faith in God and challenge us in ways we never dreamed. My prayer is that our story will encourage others in their struggles with life altering experiences. My writing will be our testimonies but more than that it is about how we have a loving, caring God that carries us through the most difficult times of our lives.

Love Every Day

“Love Every Day”

“A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.” Proverbs 17:22 (ESV)

I know I talk about my mom so much here. It is hard not to when you have been blessed to have a mom like mine. I’ve mentioned so much about learning through witnessing my mom’s actions and not her words. No matter what she was going through, she could find joy. Sometimes she would find her joy in the cheesiest of ways. I was blessed to see this when Nick was born. Mom always showed me she loved every day by buying or making cheesy things for Nick: Things like shirts, hats, silly toys. Nick thought she was the coolest and most fun “Gram” to be around.

Grandmother’s Love

I have loved being a grandmother to my beautiful, smart, kind, and loving granddaughter, Nixon Lyn. Now I have caught myself looking for the cheesiest items for her. I could not pass up a pair of Valentine sunglasses! This is my way of thinking how much my mom would have loved her and it’s my way of keeping my mom’s spirit alive and with us. I’m so thankful to the Lord for giving me all that he did in a mom.

Love Every Day?

So think of what Proverbs 17:22 is saying and live it and love every day! Being joyful does so many things for all of us. There are countless benefits to our bodies and to the people we encounter daily. Think about the people in your life who have gone or who you are blessed to still have as a part of your life. Give the Lord praise for this. How have they helped you “Love Every Day?” How do you help others “Love Every Day?” As Phil Robertson says, “Think about it!”

Counting My Blessings,

Susan Browder
