Loving People

Loving People

“Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.” Ephesian 4:2 (NLT)

My Biggest Weakness

Who are the people in your life who are the easiest to love? Who are those you would consider to be the toughest and hardest to love? I know this is one of my biggest weaknesses and where I definitely miss the mark and fall short. These should be the ones I strive to love, not just the ones who don’t require much effort to love. Ephesians 4:2 tells us to be patient with others who do require more of an effort for us to love them.

Make It a Priority

We all have faults. I know I certainly do! I want others to love me on my difficult days or heavy seasons. I need to make it a priority to love others the same way, especially when it is hard and challenging. Let’s all remind ourselves that we are all far from perfect and show each other a little grace daily.

“So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other.” John 13:34 (NLT)

So just keep in mind we all aren’t going to appreciate everyone in our life or know all that goes on inside their head. We are all unique and we all have our stuff. We all deal with our stuff differently. Let’s just strive and make it a priority to love each other in spite of our faults. Keep in mind we all hope we are extended grace from others when we need it.
