Isaiah 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD; my soul shall exult in my God, for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation; he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress, and as a bride adorns herself with jewels.

Isaiah 62:3-4 You shall wear a crown of beauty in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God.

Crown of Beauty

What gives us the crown of beauty?   Think  High Priest and the pearls of the deep dive into the love of God.  He makes us beautiful in His own time. (Ecc 3:11) The high priest was dressed in robes, a headdress, and a breast plate that was made of jewels and treasures from the chaos (water) that separates us from God the Father.

One day we will be clothed  differently

This is so deep and so multi-layered. The clothes we wear today cover the lust of the flesh (undergarments), lust of the eyes (veil), and the pride of life (the robes). These are the clothes of a priest in the Old Testament and the armor of God in the New Testament.

The Wedding Veil

Recently, Hallmark had a trilogy about a wedding veil. The history of the veil is fascinating to three friends who seek out its origin, use it in their own weddings, and then return it to the family from which it originated.. The brides wore this veil that bound them not only as friends, but to the past and to the original owner.

Our Wedding Clothes

Our wedding clothes as the Bride of Christ do the same thing. The acts of our righteousness are not our own but belong to the original Owner, Christ Himself. These acts link us to those who have gone before us from the beginning to the present and will bind us to those who will follow. You see, the Bride is both you and I as individuals but also a corporate Bride made up of “many members.” The crown (veil) covers our head, a symbol of submission and fidelity. The bridegroom veils the bride and hides her beauty as an expression of her exclusive chosen status: She is His ALONE!

Bridegroom our High Priest

The High Priest wore a frontlet across his forehead that said, “Holy to the LORD.” It was made of fine white linen which like the robe speaks of righteousness (because it is on the head, it is about thoughts) and points to the helmet of salvation and our desire to write the name of our beloved on our hearts and heads.

Jewel for you now You are a Crown of beauty

Isaiah 62:3-5 is so beautiful. Read it again: You will be a crown of beauty in the hand of the Lord, a king’s crown in the hand of your God. You will no longer be called “Left Alone,” Your land will no longer be called Desolate; but thou shalt be called “My joy is in her,” and your land “Married.” https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Isaiah+62%3A3-6&version=KJV

The Crown of the King

For all my sisters who long to be beautiful, here is the PROMISE! Soon, you will get a name change!  Now, you are Married! The most priceless of all, YOU are considered the crown of THE KING! You are beautiful in His eyes!

Forgiveness

Today, the veil (crown) of your wedding clothes covers your thoughts, your eyes, and BUT when the Bridegroom lifts it for the first and last time, He sees you as His CROWN and GLORY! Think of that! “Forgiveness for everything you have ever done or could do in the future. This is LOVE!”

You are complete and ready for the Bridegroom

Now, the planning, preparing, sewing, embellishing, and final touches are complete. The waiting begins in earnest.
