Landscaping nature

From the front porch and beyond:

Let me hear your voice

In my wondering thoughts and conclusions, green spaces within neighborhoods, towns, and cities are vital.

Not pretty landscaping but cared-for space with paths through wooded areas that let us see God’s handiwork and landscaping.

Everyone should be exposed to the true nature created by God. Be amazed at the details in the leaves. Watch the actions and movements of animals, birds, and bugs. Touch, feel, and see the different bark on trees.

When everything is man-made concrete with well placed and landscaped, we fail to see God’s hand, we see man’s.

We begin to forget everything was created by God and for his glory. Then, we begin to believe that we have power, we are good and we have wisdom. We believe we can function without God.

We need to see our insignificance. Also, we need to remember God and be amazed at the beauty that only comes from his wisdom, power, and strength.

Remember that we create nothing.

Remember that we have no wisdom, power, or strength that is not God-given.

Then, we begin to look past nature to the people around us and see God’s beautiful creations, unique and different each one created and loved by God.

Genesis 1

Genesis 2: 15 And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, make and keep us humbled by your vision, wonders, miracles, grace, and mercy.

Help us care for the beauty made by your hands.

Remind us that you are God and everything was made by your hands, for your glory and purpose.

Remind us that each person was carefully knitted together by you for your glory and honor.

Help us see and be amazed at each person, place, and thing that you thought of was important enough to spend time creating,

Do these things according to your perfect will and way in Jesus Christ’s powerful name.

Amen
