Is God Invisible?
Do you ever feel as if God is a thousand miles away and your prayers are just not going anywhere? Sometimes I can feel so close to God that I can just reach up to touch Him, but other times I feel like God is invisible. During these times, I feel so disconnected from God. When ever you go through times such as this, it is not God’s fault. He did not just decide to leave us. It is our own doing that pushes God away. God does not leave us. We push God away. When I go through times like this, I have usually left God out of my life. Sometimes during life we get to travel over smooth ground and we get comfortable with our life. When we are experiencing smooth riding it’s easy to forget God. Everyone has heard that it’s easy to forget God when life gets easier, but we always think that we would never do that. We will be stronger than this. I am guilty of doing this too. But when life does get easier we DO tend to push God to the side and He is not first in our lives anymore.

Colossians 1:16 (NLT)
“For through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see- such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through Him and for Him.”

We have to remember that God created everything. He made us for His glory. God is not someone we call up just when things are not going our way and we need help. God should be first in our life and we should be willing to push everything else aside for Him.

John 15:5 (NLT)
“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.”

We also need to remember that everything good in our lives comes from God. Without God we don’t get very far. When we put God first in our lives and allow Him to use us to bring Him glory, we flourish. We suffer without God, but with God we are blessed because of Him.

Mark 12:30 (NLT)
“And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength”

We must put aside everything else and focus on God. God gave us life and we should be willing to allow God to use us for His work.

We all want to have a good relationship with God but sometimes we do slip up. This does not mean that you have lost your salvation or relationship with God it only means that we need to stop and put God first in our lives again. No matter what we are going through or what we have done God will always be there to forgive us. God is not invisible He is just waiting for us to put Him first again.
