Protection
“The LORD keeps you from all harm and watches over your life.” Psalm 121:7
Facing an unsureness can highly motivate you to read the Bible. I’m thinking of times that I would consider “a close call.” Times where I was so glad and blessed that we all made it through and everyone is still alive. Protection is the one for sure thing that I talk to God about daily. I talk to him so much that if I were to talk to another person as much as I talk to God on this topic, that person would say I was bothering them.
I pray daily, sometimes multiple times, over my boys, husband, and family for physical and spiritual protection. The relief I feel, can’t be described each time I do this. There are so many harmful things in the world, especially today, that can cause physical and spiritual harm. I have found if prayer and reading the Bible aren’t a daily habit, my family doesn’t feel protected or safe. It’s just the opposite. Ugly and harmful things are aloud to creep in.
I love my family and the people who are important to them. I will always pray for a shield of protection over them. In a world full of chaos where we all want our children and family to be protected, it can really mess with you and cause worry. I want my family to always be protected and guarded physically and spiritually.
“…the reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.” 1 John 3:8
“Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith.” 1 Pet. 5:8-9
